DATA VAULTING
Information is the
lifeblood of business.
Loss of information can
detrimentally affect day-to-day operations or,
In the worst case
scenario, even the very viability of the business.
Many Companies carry out
backups, primarily to tape or disc, thinking that this activity
protects them.
However, these types of
backup have an inherent failure rate (up to 30%),
meaning that information
may not be retrievable when required.
Backups of this nature
are often stored onsite, so that a major catastrophe destroys not
only current information but also the backup on which Business
Continuity depends.
Of course, Disaster
Recovery applies to every form of business activity,
even sole practitioners,
and is equally relevant to all.
The solution is to have
automatic backups stored offsite.
This is what FILE Vault
provides.
How it operates
Following the
installation of a small proprietary software program, which will
work on all operating platforms, on the desktop, laptop or server
requiring backup, the frequency of the backup can be set. Every
possible scheduling option is available: daily, weekly, monthly or
continuous data protection.
Each client is offered an
unlimited amount of data storage space though, of course, we do not
recommend the backup of extraneous data such as movies, music,
photographs, etc. unless they are a constituent part of the business
information.
The data are encrypted at
source for security (up to 448 bit Military strength) and
compressed, then sent via a secure line to our offsite data storage
facilities, of which there are two (2) in Queensland.
Access to the information
is limited by password chosen by the user.
As the system operates
automatically there is no possibility of a backup being overlooked
as sometimes occurs in traditional backup procedures.
The system being online
means that all data are readily accessible in the event of need.
We offer a no obligation
14 day trial of our system, confident that this will fully reveal
its ease of use and benefits.
